Red Patch On Lateral Side Of White Eye. Baby Rubbing Eyes While Sleeping. Cure?
I noticed a slightly raised red patch on d lateral side of the white eye of my baby's (4mths old)left eye 2 days ago which spreads laterally,no swelling,no itchness,no discharge,no tearing though she is always rubbing her eyes especially when sleepy YEsterday I also noticed a red spot on lateral side of d white right eye still painless,not itchy,no swelling or discharge.she doesnt hv fever,not irritable,eats well.I went to market with her on.Wednesday.pls what could it be?

probably what you are seeing is subconjunctival haemorrhage because of the injuries to the superficial vessels of the which might be because the rubbing of eyes.this is absolutely non dangerous and resolves on its own.you need not apply or give any medication to the child .it may take arond 20 days to get reabsorbed.
BUT,sometimes these do pointout towards bleeding disorders or hypertension or diabetes mellitus .to rule out above you must consult a paediatrition .
