Red Patch On Thigh, Faded To Pale Red Spot, Burning Sensation. What Could Be This?

I have had a red patch on my tthigh It appeared around Christmas and didn't go away It faded to a pale red spot about 1 inch in diameter. It has not changed until tonight. Tonight I felt e fburning sensation and when I looked. The spot had turned very red and giving a burning sensation. it is about 2 inches in diameter. What should I do? Any idea of what it is?

Hello.Red patch on thigh with changes in coloration and diameter, a possible diagnosis is fungal infection.Go to your doctor, he will examine you, and he will establish diagnosis and right treatment.
