Red Pimply Itchy Spots Around Ankle, Legs And Hands. On Antibiotic Bactrim. Allergic Reaction Or Bug Bites?

I recently was put on the antibiotic bactrim and in the 5 days since starting it i have developed little red pimply itchy spots. I have a cluster around my ankle and they are on my legs in spots and also were on the tops of my hands. Is this an allergic reaction or does it sound more like bug bites? They become more itchy when i am in the hot shower.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic
It sounds more like insect bite allergy because of the distribution, that is mainly over exposed areas and due to morphology( pimply spots).
However I would recommend you to see a dermatologist to confirm. Bactrim is a sulfa drug and is notorious to cause allergy.
Hope this helped
Take care
