Red Sore On Calf, Hard Spot Beneath. Not Staph. Your Thoughts?

I have a something on the side of my calf that resembled a pimple a few days ago with a white-head and the like. I popped it, and it bled. It quickly became a little sore around the area and mildly red; not alarmingly so. it has formed a small hard spot underneath the skin around the area now.

I had a very similar incident on my elbow a month ago, and was fortunate enough that it was not staph. Your thoughts, please?

You need not to worry about it.
It look like infection of hair root only or small boil.
you need to apply good antibiotic cream over the affected area.
Small hard spot is due to healing process and do not press or popped it.

bette to consult dermatologist if you do not recover well in a week.
