Relapsing Depression And Mood Swings Even After Taking Suboxone. Is This Right Treatment ?
I have been taking Suboxone for almost 3 years now.... I have relapsed quite a few times but (as all say) I'm really ready to get this part of my life behind me. I've been going to meetings and reading the "big blue book" aka NA. Anyways, I've noticed that my depression and mood swings when on Suboxone are all over the place. The feeling of being lonely, sad.. etc... I am also on Celexa, which I believe does wonders for me and my depression. Anyways, I have a great support system and am sick of driving them into the ground with my back and forth relapses and with my edginess and mood swings. I was checking out a few forums online and from my observations, it looks as though that their is a drug in the Suboxone that can make you depressed? Or feel "not right?" Think I should look into Subutex?
Helo Depression make a patient miserable I can understand . Now large number of drugs are avilabe and some do teal wonder without side effects so do not loose heart You need evaluation of your thyroid specialat TSH if it is high it may be cause of your present condition and can be treated easily If only drugs are not helping please go for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy by a trained therapists It should help In my patient who are poor responders to anti depressant drug ;I prefer to combine a Drug by generic name Lithium to have a better result .However a word of caution it is a renal toxic drug has lot of serious side effectsSo regular blood level of drug monitoring with renal and liver functions are required To be taken only on advise and under care of treating doctor only Be positive you will recover
