Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Relief From Persistent Pain In Chest Area, Tension In Shoulder Blade And Neck Area?
I have been having this persistant ache in my left chest area, around the underarm and it generates into the middle of my chest. It doesnt hurt much when i take a deep breath but it does hurt when I lift my arm or reach across. The pain is starting to form at the center of my ribcage at times but not often. I can also feel a little tension in my left shoulder blade and neck area.
I went through your description. Don't worry about any severe heart problems. Because there are other associated symptoms with pain you are mentioning.
Anxiety also causes the symptoms you are mentioning. Anxiety about any diseases which you are fearing, especially heart diseases, can mimic symptoms associated with heart problems such as pain and some tiredness.
But first you should consult a general physician and confirm you donot have any heart related problem with the help of EKG and stress test. Then a psychologist can definitely help you. Don't worry till then.
Hope this clears your doubts. Available for further queries. Good luck.
