Reoccurring BV. Partner And Myself Under Treatment. Taking Probiotics. Cause?

I and my partner have been treated for BV. I took the whole series of antibiotics but he didn't. I now have it back. It seems like I can't get rid of it. This has only been 3 weeks since the last time. My doctor said that my partner probably does not need to be treated again but I should retreat. Why do I keep getting this back? I am taking a lot of probiotics and a very healthy diet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that one partner has not gone for the treatment so there is contamination spread again by the untreated partner.
So now go for the treatment both the partners to prevent re infection.
Keep local hygiene proper.
Ok and take care.
