Resting Heart Rate Of 129, What Should I Do ?

I m 18 and I ve always had a resting high heart rate, but I just took it a minute ago and it was 129. Is this detrimental to my health ? I haven t had any caffeine or sugar today, and I ve just been relaxing all day (no exercise yet or anything) . Thanks for your input guys : ). I wouldn t be too worried about it, except for the fact that it s like that every day. I ve been on a ton of meds my whole life..so I m sure that has something to do with it.

Hi well come to HCM.
Your heart rate and that too resting is very quite high. May be sinus tachy cardia
or some conditions like atrial fibrilation,Svt,etc. but for this and reason for it to
be looked in. Many more details will be required for this like, clinical examination,ECG,
Echo,Holters monitoring, thyroid reports etc. So you must visit your doctor and go
as per his guidance. Take care. Thanks

thanks for the query
well given your history i think its better you consulted your doctor immediately and get an ecg done as the heart rate being high alone maybe because of various factors which can be found out using the ecg, apart from the ecg do get an echo and thyroid function tests and your routine blood examination to rule out anaemia also.
take care.
