Hi Andre,
It looks like an
allergic reaction of some kind. Quite UNLIKELY that the swelling of the
upper lip is due to resting your face against your hand.Any history of (h/o) fever recently? Any h/o drug intake recently. Could be due to
drug allergy. Could be due to an insect bite(
spider bite / mosquitobite) at the site . Is it a diffuse swelling of the upper lip? Any vesicles/ blisters on the upper lip? If vesicles are present it could be
herpes. Any dental problems like tooth cavities /abscesses?
You could try taking one tablet of AVIL 25mg which is an antihistamine and helps if your swelling of the lip is due to an allergic condition(drug allergy or insect bite). In some cases, even without medication, the swelling will come down on its own.
Avil has side effects like sedation etc so do not drive, do not operate heavy machinery , do not drink alcohol while on Avil. Visit your doctor if you have any additional symptoms like swelling progressing to other parts of the body, difficulty in breathing, etc.
Hope this helps.Have a nice day :)
