Scanty Periods. Scan Report Shows Anechoic Cysts In Both Ovaries. No Pains During Periods. Guide
Hi , I got an ultrasound scan done, both TVS and external done as intensity of bleeeding in periods has reduced during last few months and this month they were really scanty. I got the scan done on last day of my period which is 4th day . The report says everything is normal, uterus size is 74*62*50mm. However there are 2 anechoic cysts in both right and left ovary measuring 19*10mm and 26*23mm respectively. I donot have any pain during periods, however this very month after periods I feel my breasts are tender. Please help.
Hi and thanks for using this panel too get answers to your health query.
These cysts are small and fit the definition of functional cysts. They need monitoring to make sure they disappear after a while and not row into any other concerning lesions. They should not really cause any problems to you because so many women out there have this same small cysts..
Feeling your breast tender after menstruation is not common but by itself constitutes no big abnormality. you shouldn't get worried by this.
For now, keep calm. Observe and follow up with your OBGYN in about 3months unless something else comes up in the interim.
