Scheduled For Total Hysterectomy. Still Getting Periods. Will I Have Hormonal Imbalance After Sudden Menopause?

Hi, I am scheduled for total hysterectomy next week. I will be having ovaries removed, due to strong family history of breast cancer. I am terrified that I will have a raging hormonal fit after this sudden menopause. I am 53, so it's not like I'm going into this prematurely. However, I am still having regular periods, so I expect I will get some sort of "reaction".
Does this happen to everyone, or do I have a chance of not having hot flashes, etc.

Hello.

After total hysterectomy, you will have the symptoms of menopause like hot flushes, vaginal dryness, etc. This will not cause any hormonal imbalance in the body. You will have a surgical menopause.
