HI,

Intelligence wise there is no abnormality as such. But it is a psychiatric disorder with disturbance in thought process. It shall need certain abnormal presentations and needs treatment. The hallucinations and the illusions they experience is not true.

A schizophrenia related question that needs an urgent answer. Can childhood sexual abuse or trauma lead to schizophrenia? I see a family where there is one 35 year old schizophrenic who has is uncomfortable with male company outside her own family, whose elder sister is unnaturally thin with physical features of a 10 year old while her 9 year old daughter has a phobia of soft furry toys to the extent that she wont enter a room that has them.

I notice that very few questions are getting replies from doctors or specialists. If they do not want to give professional opinions they should atleast give personal ones anonymously instead of not replying because they re worried about lawsuits and such. People come to this site expecting answers. If you can t give answers direct them to other sites where they might get them.
