Semen Analysis Reported Low Motility. Explain Astheno-teratozoospermia?
Hello, Doctor, I have a problem of fertility , i made three time a test of semen analysis but the result shows every time that the motility is low, inferior to the normal rate (forward progressive movement; forward slow progressive movement). The comment is always: Astheno-teratozoospermia. How to come up with this problem

hi there, astheno means decreased motility and terato means that the sperms are not of normal morphology.While the cause for decreased motility is mostly unknow, environmental pollutants, previous inflammation; epididymitis, prostate, urethritis, etc.due sexually transmitted diseases and Chromosomal / genetic disorders could be the cause for teratozoospermia.You need to visit an infertility specialist who may be able to guide you to a course of treatment.
