Semen Analysis Result Shows Below Normal Sperm Shape. Recommended Visit To Urologist. Advice

Hi,

My semen analysis results are below. My wife's Gynecologist has recommended that I visit a urologist based on "below normal sperm shape".

Volume :4.5ml (>2.0ml)
Concentration : 43.8 (>20 M/ml)
Percent Motile : 39 (>40 %)
Concentration Motile :15.1 (> 8 M/ml)
VSL : 44.8 (>25 u/sec)
VCL : 84 (>40 u/sec)
LIN : 54 ( >40 (0-100))
ALH : 3.7 (> 1.5 u)
VAP : 54.8 (>35 u/sec)
Morphology (Kruger/WHO) : 8 (>14% ) Kruger stick criteria

Thanks for your question.
Yes, your semen analysis report showed some abnormal features. No diagnosis can be made after a single report. Before seeing any Urologist I recommend you to repeat the same test after an abstinence of no more then 3 days. Hopefully your report will improve. If not so, you should see the Urologist for necessary evaluation.
