Series Of Mild Abnormal Paps, LEEP Shows Moderate Dysplasia. What If Pap Comes Back Moderate To Severe Dysplasia ?

I have had a series of mild abnormal paps for 10years.
2013 I had High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, moderate dysplasia (CIN II) and severe dysplasia or carcinoma in situ (CIN III)
A colposcopy came back normal.
6 weeks later a LEEP was preformed that showed moderate dysplasia. I am waiting 3 months and will have repeat PAP.
Question: What if the pap comes back moderate to severe dysplasia? Can you remove just the cervix, and if yes what are the chances of sexual dysfunction. I enjoy a fabulous sex life.

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. If the repeat PAP shows HSIL(high grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia) I strongly suggest you for colposcopy and biopsy. If there is dysplasia you can be given option of CONE BIOPSY, just removing the portion of cervix. But, you should have regular follow up after cone.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups. If you like my answers kindly rate it, and write a review as well. Please do not forget to accept it.
Thank you,
Wish you good health.

Dr Arif
