Severe Arm Pain, Large Bruise With A Knot, Loss Of Blood Circulation. Cure?

Yesterday my arm was killing me! It felt like I busted all the veins in my arm but it looked fine. Then out of no where in the same place I ve been hurting I get a HUGE bruise on my arm and it has a knot almost the size of a golf ball! My whole arm is hurting and it feels like i have no blood circulation. I haven t done anything to cause a bruise I ve been sick and have been in bed all weekend. I m only 15 and I know for a fact this doesn t just happen... What do you think it is? What should I do? HELP ME! :(

Hello Dear

First i am really sorry to hear that you have been sick all weekend and stayed in bed.
You should have mentioned why you were in bed - was it due to fever or something else?
The knot and bruises (without trauma) you described sounds like spontaneous subcutaneous bleeding which can be due to low platelet counts or clotting disorder .
There are many possible causes of low platelet count , but most common being viral infection.(usually dose not cause large hematomas)
And clotting disorder can be associated with genetic or liver disease.

The arm pain along with the spontaneous subcutaneous bleed can be suggestive of a serious disease and you need to go to the doctor to get your blood tested - Complete hemogram and peripheral smear , which will suggest further investigations.
