Severe Chest Pain, Lost Sensation In Arms, Legs. Had A Quadruple Bypass. Any Suggestion?
A gentleman I know told me that last night while he was lying down he suddenly lost all feeling in his arms and legs, he also lost all strength in his arms. He felt that he had shrunk to just his body. He says that he was thinking clearly so thought it would pass. He also had a sever pain in his chest. He is almost 96 years of age and doesn't want to get it checked out. I think he perhaps had a stroke. He had a quadruple bypass when he was 58.
There is no alternative to seeing a doctor. The first step is to see a Cardiologist EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing all well God bless Good luck
