Severe Cough. Diagnosed As Sinus Infection, Have Allergies. Taking Amoxicilin, Zyrtec. Correct Treatment?
I have had a severe cough following diagnosis of a sinus infection and subsequent treatment with amoxicillin. The cough is so bad, I often am near to vomiting at the end of an episode. The cough produces white mucus. I am taking a second course of amoxicillin but don't feel the cough has subsided much. I do have allergies and take Zyrtec daily, and with every weather change I experience sinus issues. Should I be taking something else?
HI, I have gone through your query. It suggests that you are suffering from the sinusitis which leads to the pharyngitis. I personally advised- 1. Proper antibiotics. 2. Nasal decongestant. 3. Systemic decongestant. 4. Anti-allergic drug. 5. Steam inhalation.
If you have any doubt, I will be available for your query.
Wish you good health.
