Severe Cramps, Delayed Periods, Spotting. Had Protected Sex. Chances Of Pregnancy?

My period was supposed to come on April 25th, I had protected sex on April 27th and got my period on May 4th but it's not like my normal period. This time I have horrible cramps and it's kind of light compared to my other periods I have had. I'm 18 and have bad my period of about 2 years and it's been very regular. I've only has sex one time before this and my period was only 2 days late after that. What is going on? Is this normal? Am I pregnant?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

If you have had intercourse only twice, and with protection, then the chance of pregnancy is extremely small. Based on what you are telling me, I doubt that you are pregnant. You need to check a pregnancy test, though. Also, if your periods started at age 16 and are very irregular, then you are not ovulating regularly. This needs to be evaluated by an OB/GYN as soon as you can get in for an appointment.

I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, please click on "ASK ME A QUESTION" link above to directly ask me a question!
