Severe Itching Ad Burning Around Clitoris, Milky Thick Vaginal Discharge. Yeast Infection Or Pid?

hi i have sever itching ad burning around my clit and a milky thick vaginal discharge. its worse after sexual intercourse with my husband and after showering and washing down there. my husband and i are both clean of any type of std (both virgins til marriage) and i gave birth in december i think it might be a yeast infection but it could also be pid. please help im so uncomfortable.

Hi,
According to your symptoms, it looks more likely that you are harboring a candida infection. It is quite common and both the partners should be treated for complete cure. Pelvic inflammatory disease would have additional features of pelvic pain, painful intercourse, abnormal menstrual pattern and so on and can be detected by smears, pelvic ultrasound and a physical exam. Yours does not seem to be so, but anyway, it would be ideal to go for a check up to a specialist and get proper treatment. Hope your query has been answered. Good luck.

Your symptoms suggest like fungal infection. You need to apply antifungal ointment in the vagina to treat it and also take antihistamine drug for itching. Consult your gynaecologist for speculum examination once to rule out any other problem.
