Severe Nasal Problems, All Types Of Medications Haven't Helped. Nose Operation Suggested. Thoughts ?

For the past 5 year i am suffering from severe nasal problems, I hve taken treatments like ( homeopathy , ayurvedic ) etc for the last 3 years and even english treatment for 6 months. But iam not able to recover from cold .. some of the doctors suggested that the soft bone in the nose is slightly bent and needs a minor operation .. Could u please suggest me a permanant solution to recover from this..

Hi thanks for your question.
you are having rhinitis (common cold) from last many years with no relief from different modes of treatment.Now you have been advised operation.
Yes DNS (deflected nasal septum) is a known cause for recurrent rhinitis.
Operation will correct the defect and you will get relief from symptoms

hi there, long standing cold as you have described could be due to allergic rhinitis, or due to nasal polyp as the doctor's have suggested. You can get polypoectomy done which may help in relieving you of the problem or you could get an allergy profile done which will suggest the things you might be allergic to so that you can avoid them or try desensitization. You could also take vit c tablets which said to help in boosting your immunity. Take care
