Severe Pain In The Cheek And In The Eye Socket. Face Turned Reddish. What Is It?
I have a friend who woke up last week with severe pain on her left cheek and around the lower part of the eye socket. She has been to doctor and they checked her sinuses and looked in her eye and can find nothing. Her pain is a 10 on a scale and her faced looked like a tomato and was hot to touch. The pain is worse when she wakes in am and subsides by afternoon
as per the clinical presentation of your friends ailment it seems she is having buccal space infection ..it can be due acute exaberation of a chronic dental caries ..red color with pain with localized raise in temperature is definite that there is inflammation...hence visit a dentist have a thorough dental check up ,if needed go for radiograph and confirm the diagnosis and treat the infection ... take care
