Severe Pain On The Thigh After A Bang, Could Walk For Few Minutes Immediately After The Bang, No Bruising. What Could It Be?

Just last night I tripped and hit my thigh really hard on a metal pole. It is not bruised but hurts a lot. I was wondering if it is just bruised or if its sprained or sprained or something. I couldn t walk for about 10 minutes. But now I can walk but still can t run. Thank You for your Help, Jack

Hello Jack
Thigh is a muscular area and usually bruise cannot appear outside but it is present inside the thigh. The injury causes bleeding in the thigh and soft tissue injury around the injured part with inflammation. It required proper rest with medication to heal the part. Some measures are:
1. Wipe elastic bandage at the part.
2. Do hot and cold fermentation.
3. Can apply local anti-inflammatory gel on thigh.
4. Keep the thigh elevated.
5. Take analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce pain and swelling.
6. Take rest as much as you can till the injury heals.
Hope this will help you. Else consult your doctor for further treatment.
Best Wishes
