Severe Throat Pain After Taking Medication For Respiratory Infection. Suggest
Doc, good day. i was just treated for respiratory infection and fever with augmentin capsules and coartem tablets. Now i have developed serious throat pain that makes swallowing very very difficult and painful. Before now, i have had persistent sore throat for over 1 yr. After the augmentin treatment, that sore throat is gone but has now given rise to severe throat pain. Pls what should i do? Thanks.
there are chances of sinusitis antibiotics are not needed here as it increases postnasal drip and gerd causing more soar throat and pain in throat get xray pns done to confirm sinuses and treat it qfor time take metronidazole 200 mg bd for 5 days and off and on if needed in future tae fexofenadine 120 mg bd and liquid antacid tds tab cpm at night triamsolone mouth gel locally inside mouth before each meal continue 3 week
