Shall I Take Censpram Plus Or Tancodep Tablets For Depression?
Iam 62 years with type2/Bp/vertigo/tinnitus/depression problem. Iam taking metformin 500 sr,telmikind 40, clopikind 75, lipirose 5 with absolut 3g tablets regularly. as per depression concern my neurologist prescribed me censpram plus , my cordiologist advised me tancodep tablets. I feel tancodep is better. kindly let me know your advise which is good for me. With regards - Pachaimuthu

Tancodep contains imipramine and this is a tricyclic antidepressant with lot of side effect at higher dose. At initial dosage, you would feel better and get better sleep, but at higher dosage, you would get side effects like dryness of mouth, anxiety symptoms, constipation etc. Last these side effects, you would not get with censpram (escitalopram). I would prefer censpram over tancodep, rest your wish.
