Sharp Pain In Chest While Taking Deep Breath Due To Muscle Pain From Accident, Burp Constantly. How To Rectify?

Hi, It's not like I've been having difficulty breathing but every couple of sec or sometimes minutes, I have to take a deep breath as if I am out of air. Also I've been burping constantly but not the regular kind. I feel like there's air stuck at the back of my throat and I then I have to force burp. Sometimes I also have difficulty taking a full deep breath when I have to. When I try to take a deep breath I also feel a slightly sharp pain on the right side of my chest which is probably just muscle pain from a past accident I had 2 years ago. I have no chronic medical history and I have a family history of DM but my last blood test two weeks ago shows now sign of DM and lastly a family history of lymphoma with my dad. What do you think it is and what should I do?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal pain.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.
Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.

Investigations like X ray or CT scan of the chest can be done to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
