Sharp Pain In Left Side Of Chest, Back And Left Shoulder Pain. Family History Of Heart Attack. Treatment?

Hi, my daddy passed away 3 weeks ago from a massive heart attack . He was only 66. I since then am getting sharp pain to left side chest and for approx 6 seconds or so. It comes and goes plus my left side of back aches dull though. My left shoulder as well. I made an appt to see my md this Thursday . The md that saw my daddy said we all the children should be checked out. This scared me.

Its very sad to hear that your dad passed away 3 weeks ago.
Pain related to heart is aggrevated by exertion & relieved by rest or medicine. It usually associated with profuse sweating. Since your symptoms dont fit into the description you had providedm so you need not worry. Dont take stress.
As suggested by your doctor you get yourself investigated that will help to clear all doubt in your mind.
