thank you for your response, I have been very frustrated with the care (or lack of it) by the health care that I have received. I went to an urgent care center o dec. 23, I was in a lot of pain which had gotten unbearable over a period of a week. the (fnp) said I had a bacterial infection. she sent me to get a ct scan on my abdomen. I waited at the hospital radiology, she called me there and told me on the phone that they found by accident a mass 3.5 inches on my ovary and a nodule in my chest and spots on my liver. I was a little mortified ,first because of this news, second because she told me on the phone knowing I was to come back to the office to get a prescription.I was given 2 strong antibiotics, my white count was very high. I asked her what we were going to do about these findings, she put me off and said wait until the infection is gone. Over the next 3 weeks she ignored these findings after ny insistence she sent me back for test, These findings were confirmed, but then a nodule was found on my rectum also. Her answer to all of this was to wait 6 months to see if they grow. After more insistence she set me up for a colonoscopy and I insisted on endoscopy, my brother died of esophageal cancer. then I found out about the barrett's disease. I know my own body. I am generally very active. I am very fatigued, losing weight, I do not know which way to turn to get answers. I am not a person that runs to the doctor every time I sneeze. i am really sick before I seek help. I have not trusted a doctor in quite a long time. I feel they do not take the time to check my past records or listen to me. they seem to be offended if i ask questions.
