Should Acyclovir Antibiotic Be Used For The Fluid In The Inner Ear?

Was put on acyclovir 400 mg twice daily for fluid in inner ear. Has made me feel weak and depressed. Had had a shingles attack to top things off and this medicine Acylovir was also administered as an anti viral. I discontinued taking - was I right in doing so. My ears feel plugged and hearing is muffled even with hearing aids. Feeling lousy!

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern Acyclovir is antiviral drug, now for your complain you said it is fluid in ear so this may not be the actual case but you need to get it confirm with the ENT surgeon and this is the only best option you have instead of having some ideas about this, some this would be just impression like that and nothing comes out in examination, take care and have a nice day.
