Should Hyaluronic Acid Be Taken For The Slight Pain In Knees?

I have slight to medium osteoarthritis. Hyaluronic acid has been recommended but doctor said i am not yet a candidate. I stopped taking any oral medication for pain and take only triple flex i.e glucosomie 1500, chrondoitin 800 and MSN 700. my knee pains are tolerable but causes discomfort, particularly at night when I am in bed. Once I fall asleep tho the pain disappears. Do you think I should take hyaluronic acid for my knees then?
