Should I Be Concerned About A Chest Pain Sustained While Training?

So today at football practice our coaches had us doing some pushups after a workout. On the very first one I hit my chest and it instantly hurt so bad. I went through the rest of the workout running sprints, doing tire flips and more pushups. Even went to the weight room after. Once I got home I noticed I have a shortness of breath and if I move certain ways it can be very painful. It has been like this for almost 12 hours. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done these investigation to rule out cardiac and pulmonary causes.
1. ECG to rule out cardiac cause.
2. Chest x ray to rule out pulmonary causes like rib fracture, traumatic pneumothorax , pulmonary contusions etc.
You are having blunt trauma to chest and having pain and breathlessness so possibility of pneumothoracmx and pulmonary contusions are high.
So consult doctor and get done chest x ray.
If x ray is normal than it must be musculoskeletal pain.
Take good painkillers and muscle relaxant.
