Should I Be Concerned About A Hard Lump Formed In Ear With No Pain Or Pus?
Over the past year a lump has developed on top of my ear. It is hard. When pierced there is no pain or pus. Essential oils only make the skin peel and the area bleed. I thought that this lump might be a sebaceous cyst. Should I be concerned about it?
WELCOME TO HCM. A SWELLING ANYWHERE IN HEAD AND NECK REGION SHOULD NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED. U NEED TO UNDERGO A SIMPLE TEST CALLED FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY IN WHICH THE PATHOLOGIST WILL TAKE OUT SMALL AMOUNT OF MATERIAL FROM THE SWELLING WITH THE HELP OF A FINE NEEDLE AND WILL SEND IT FOR EXAMINATION. FURTHER MANAGEMENT OF THE SWELLING WILL DEPEND ON THE REPORT OF THE TEST.
