Should I Be Concerned About A Hurt In The Ear After Wax Removal?
I took my son into a pediatric aftercare facility for an upper respiratory infection and while the doctor was looking at my son, he said "oh, he has wax in his ears." I told him this is normal. He started to try and take the wax out and while doing so on his left ear. He must have hit sometime because I son told him that it hurt. Ever since, my son has complained that his ear is bothering him. He is currently taking amoxicillin. My son has no ear problems before we went in. Should I be concerned and take him back or will this heal or go away on its own?
Hi, It seems that while removing wax there might be having some soreness and some bruice causing this problem. As he is on antibiotic medicine course for respiratory tract infection, nothing to worry, amoxicilin will take care of this problem as well. Put some antibiotic ear drops. Ok and care.
