Should I Be Concerned About A Red Rectangular Patch On The Arm Which Later Resembled A Burn And It Doesn T Hurt/ Itch?

I have a single red, blotchy, almost rectangular patch on my arm - b/t my wrist and elbow - had it there about a week or so now - resembles a burn as if I had it against a hot surface - the skin is smooth like the rest of my skin, however and doesn t hurt or itch. any cause for concern?

Hello friend,

welcome to healthcaremagic.

By your description, it seems that you may be having a skin condition known as Morphea.

In this, skin is smooth shiny, red colored to start with and is usually asymptomatic.

For this condition, if timely treatment is started , response is better.

So, i will advice you to take it seriously an visit your dematologist or you can send me pic of the lesion so that the lesion can be visualized and timely advice can be given.

stay healthy.
