Should I Be Concerned About A Swollen, Itchy Mole On Head With Pus Disharge Due To Poking?

I am 31 and have always had quite a few moles, many of them on my head/in my hair. One of these moles in particular has for a while now itched and I am all of the time finding that it is scabbed over even though I try as best I can to not scratch my fingernails over it. I look at it often so that I can see if it s appearance has changed and today when I was looking at it I realized that it was much larger than it had been, not in diameter, but more like it was swollen. While looking at it I was kind of poking at it with my fingers trying to figure out the issue and then a large amount of pus came out of it. This pus was similar to what you would expect from a pimple, but it was a little bit darker in color. So, my question is how worried should I be about this mole?

Hi,

I understand your concern regarding your skin condition and I hope I am able to help you in the same.

Your mole is seemingly increasing in size.
Ther is also associated scabbing and altered sensation.
Now all of these are not very good signs.
Although even continuous trauma can be one reason for these changes, still it is better to see a dermatologist and get it checked.

Hope it helps
