Should I Be Concerned About A Swollen Vein In The Left Wrist Which Hurts On Putting Pressure?

Hi. I just noticed I have a vein in my left wrist, right at the base of the palm, that is swollen and hurts when I put pressure on it. I noticed when I was sitting on the floor and leaned on my palm for some stabilization. Not quite sure if I should worry or not.

Hello

The symptoms are indicative of phibilitis(inflammation of the viens). It is mostly caused due to trauma to the area.
I would advice my patient to give hot fomentation to the area. This improves the local circulation and reduces the inflammation. Analgesic can be taken to reduce pain. No need to worry.
