Should I Be Concerned About Mild Fever, Cough With Phlegm, Muscle Weakness After Protected Sex With A Sex Worker?
I had sex with a sex worker three days ago, and have had a mild fever for the last day and a half. Ive got quite a bad cough, producing phlegm, my muscles do feel weaker aswell. However, I did use a condom and did not ejaculate. Could I have caught anything like a severe STI(e.g. HIV)? Please help...
Hi there, I understand your concern. As you have used condom so it is very unlikely that you would have caught any severe STI or HIV. your above symptoms are suggestive of respiratory infection for which you can contact your physician which may prescribe you symptomatic treatment and antibiotic if required. Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health. Dr Rajesh Meena
