Should I Be Concerned About Severe Tenderness From Arms To Abdomen, Bruised Body ?

Good evening! Thank you, for taking the time to answer questions, from so many of us, who either can not get in to see a Doctor, or don't know for sure if they even need to. My question, is this. For the past 3 days, from my arms, to my abdomen, have had severe tenderness. Almost like I had some sort of accident, and bruised up my body. However, I cannot think of anything that would cause this, no trauma, not cough, (I fractured 2 ribs when I was pregnant with my now, 5 year old, from coughing.) Just wondering if I should be concerned, or just relax, and do the wait and see dance.

Hi my dear,

If you had trauma once and get bruised, then, although everything has been settled at that time; however, you will still will have pain and tenderness at the site of trauma and bruised from time to time.

The tenderness will be worse with weather conditions changing (raining, cloudy, cold weather) or when your immune system will be down due to common cold/flu.

You can take oral pain-killer to alleviate the pain if no other visible skin damage is seen. If you see changes in your skin, I'd suggest to consult your physician for further evaluation!

All the best!

Welcome to HCM,
I think your tenderness is generalized in both the hand which progress towards abdomen. In your case your complaint is persist since last 3 days along with bruise over local parts. If more bruise is over abdomen than it can be abdominal infection or peritonitis. Kindly consult your doctor immediately to rule out the cause by doing some sonography or local examination. Mean while to relive pain you can take painkiller medicine like Brufen.
Regards,
Dr. JIGAR
