Should I Be Concerned About The Occasional Rapid Heart Beat And Pounding ?

MY daughter is 40 yrs and she has a rapid heart above 100 most of the time . The other a.m.upon rising she felt her heart pounding . She took blood pres. And heart rate was 154 beat . She is on bl pres med but her pulse is rapid a lot . IAm concerned but her nurse pa didn t seem to be concerned.

hello
hypertension and rapid heart rate,we should exclude excess of thyroid hormone , she should undergo a testing for thyroid function
- it be due to a variety of reasons from anxiety to more serious problems
-she should undergo proper cardiac evaluation including EKG, echocardiography
-about drugs there drugs called beta blockers which control BP and heart rate simultaneously
- so visit your doctor and get evaluated and treatment optimized
