Should I Be Concerned For Painful Pea Size Lump On Knee?

Hi , I have had knee pain for the last 15 years and have been on and off a bunch of medications but no doctors here in ontario, canada want to do surgery because I'm only 26 the last surgeon I saw said my knees are crooked and I need an osteotomy but doenst want to do it again because of age, I now for the last 3 weeks have had a painfule pea size lump on the left side of my right knee , should I be concerned ? and what should I do about it?
