Should I Be Concerned For Swollen , Sore Tongue With White Painful Lump?

I think I bit my toungue in my sleep a few days ago- it sore and swollen and I have a white lump on the side- but very painful. I was at the dentist yesterday and she wants to rfer me to a specialist- now im worried and finding it difficult to eat or talk

hello.it is likely that the bite site has become infected , that is why you are having pain. you should see your ENT doctor at the earliest so he can start you on pain killers and antibiotics. thanks
