Should I Be Concerned For The Bleeding On The Vaginal Lips Caused Due To Itching?
Er. Don t judge me okay? I had an itch...down there. In my...well I m female and I itched between the folds. Yeah. So I scratched and when I pulled back my fingertips were stained with blood (not period blood, as it was at the top of my...folds and not near the vagina). Should I be concerned or just let it heal up?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The bleeding on the vaginal lips after an itching is likely to be due to vulvovaginitis. You can use a steroid based antiseptic cream like Neosporin H and see if it helps. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. We are not here to judge you and never will, we are only here to help. The wound will have to be left to heal naturally, try to keep the area dry and clean, wear loose comfortable undergarments (preferably cotton) or avoid them completely, and take warm sitz baths with epsom salt to promote healing and prevent infections.
As for the itch, the cause will have to be found and accordingly treated as such an intense itch many not be normal.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
