Should I Be Concerned If The Eye Stung When Trying To Remove Contact Lenses?

Hi, I was taking out my contacts today and when my fingers touched my eye to try and get my contact out, it stung so badly! I tried again, and it stung! Apparently I had already taken out the contact, so I was actually touching my real eye. Should I be concerned?

Hello
Minor injuries are common while using contact lenses. But injuries causing damage to cornea are dangerous.
If you think that you have injured cornea you should avoid using contact lenses till the lesion is healed and you require prophylactic antibiotic eye drops.
Thank you
