Should I Be Worried About A Bump On The Back Of Tongue In The Throat?

I have bumps that I feel on the back of my tongue. It almost feels like I have a popcorn howl stuck on the back of my tongue in my throat but it is probably my taste buds. What causes this and do I need to be concerned? I have had this for about 2 - 3 weeks now.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding bump on the back of your tongue in the throat.

As you are saying that this is giving you a weired feeling as some hing like popcorn is stuck at the back of your tongue. I would like to tell you that area concerned is called as base of tongue and this is the site for benign and malignant growths. Therefore a thorough examination of your throat by an ENT surgeon is must and possibly your specialist will prefer endoscopic examination.

Probably above answers your query.

Regards.
