Should I Be Worried About A Cut On Labia Majora?

Hi I have a small pape cut feeling on my Labia minora . It started 2 days ago and I only felt it when I starting wiping in the bathroom . I haven t been sexually active in 2 weeks and my period should be starting this week or next. I ve had BV and yeast infections before so I don t think that s it but i did just travel to Africa and took Marlia pills. Health forums say it s probably low estrogen and my hormones but I m scared because I did have unprotected sex.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

The cut feeling on labia can be due to dermatitis or a local dryness. This usually heals on its own in 2-3 days by applying a good moisturiser over the area. Try to keep the area clean and wear only cotton undergarments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
