Should I Be Worried About The A Lump In My Left Breast?

i have a lump in my left breast that came just before my period in December. I have had cysts in my breast before which then was my right breast but what is worrying me is that the lump is still there however I must say it has shrunk and it is not hurting anymore. Should I be worried?

Hi,

Breast lumps could be due to many conditions like focal nodularity (area of thickened breast tissue) which is evident before her periods or fibrocystic breast disease (painful breast lumps, arise, move when pushed on and shrink after your periods ended or it could be fibroadenoma. I advice you to:
- Consult your doctor for breast examination
- For a chest USG & a mammogram if needed

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.
