Should I Be Worried About Vomiting After Eating Food After Umbilical Surgery?

my brother in law had umbilical surgery feb 26, stranulated with small part of lg intestine removed due to strangulation as well, last night vomited after eating steak and baked potato. now his stomache feels really hard. need to worry or just wait and see

The operating surgeon can clinicaly diagnose about intestinal obstruction. If there is problem indiagnosis then ultrasound abdoman is the alter native and confirmatve way for diagosis. Till itis diagnosed He can be put on iv drip with nofood or drink orally. Bp pulse tobe recorded 6hourly.When condition improves normal food and drink can resume.
