Should I Be Worried For The Dry Sensation Of The Skin Which Was Caused When The Skin Came In Contact With The Toilet Cleaners?

I recently scrubbed my bathroom tub with mostly hot water and the product CLR that contains Acid. However I did not notice til a few minutes later the rubber glove i was wearing tore and the chemicals rubbed on to my skin. My fingers have this dry sensation and feel like a proon still 24 hours after. I was wondering if this will go away? Should I be worried?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern on HCM

Seems to have developed an irritant contact dermatitis. Its usually presents as dryness and cracking of finger sides mostly in people who engage in wet work for long hours and also those who are in contact with soaps, detergents, cleansers for long hours.

I would advice that you use a good moisturizer frequently.

I usually ask my patients to mix a steroid cream with the moisturizer and apply it twice daily for faster relief.

take care
