Should I Be Worried For The Person Who Was Kissed By The One Who Had Tingle And Cold Sores?
I have a 10 week old baby, today while visiting the inlaws my father in law said he had a tingle and thought he was getting a cold sore and wouldn't kiss the baby, but he must have forgotten as my partner offered her to him to give her a kiss goodbye when we were leaving and he kissed her. Do I need to be worried?

Hello, It is my privilege to be able to help you. I have gone through your history as your baby was kissed by his grandfather as he is having symptoms of respiratory tract infection. Respiratory tract infections like soar throat, tingling sensation and pain are due infection in the throat. These infections are acquired by inhalation of infective agents from other individual having same symptoms. As your baby is 10 week old, they will more susceptible for these type of infection. Kissing the baby during the illness should be avoided. If the baby develops any of the symptoms of respiratory tract infections consult your Pediatrician and take appropriate advise from him. Thank you.
