Should I Consult A Pulmonologist While Being Diagnosed With Costochondritis?

I am a 50 year old female and was in a car accident over 45 days ago. Ten later traveled to a cold climate and came back home with bronchitis. Last week, I had an x-ray done due to severe pain in my rib area, especially the left side. I have been diagnosed with costochondritis. My Primary has referred to a Pulmonologist. Is this absolutely necessary?

Hi,
As your doctor advised to consult pulmonologist, there might be something in x-ray pertaining to pulmonologist.
Having costochondritis, he might not referred to pulmonologist.
If we know the report of x-ray things can be cleared up.
Ok and take care.
